Prayers for H

Right now I have a friend whose son is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in St. Louis.  Her son is 4 years old.  He had a bad reaction to medication and is suffering from Stephen Johnson’s Syndrome.  This is a rare disease but is life threatening.  The little man (we will call him H) is having a very rough time of it.  He is sedated and heavily medicated but nothing seems to be doing what it is supposed to be doing.  The past two days have been extremely rough for him.  His heart rate has been high and he has had to start a blood transfusion.  They have been keeping us all updated via facebook and soliciting prayers.

Today, I am going to solicit prayers through here.  The reason that I do is because Jesus is the great physician and can heal all wounds.  In Luke 18:27 it says: “Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God.’”

Please pray for healing.
Pray for a miracle
Pray for blessings on this family going through this
Pray fro strength
Pray for knowledge for the doctors and the nurses
Pray for lack of infections
Pray for his little heart, it is beating way too fast
Pray for his eyes, they are scarring
Pray for the blood transfusion he has had to receive
Pray that he can get off the ventalator
Pray that he can be completely healed

Pray in THE NAME OF JESUS- declare a victory for dear sweet H, for his healing, for his life.  His parents are strong Christians and they are praying every step of the way.  Many, if not most, of their friends are Christians also praying and begging God to heal and spare H.  Please join us.  This is going to be a long term battle to heal, so join me in praying.

Center of God's Will

I was very blessed to go over to some new friend’s home last night and talk with them and others about life in general.   As the topic turned solely to missions late in the evening (as this couple used to travel around bringing the good news to kids around the world, and then lived in a different country for 3 years sharing the gospel) I said something like, it must feel amazing to be right in the center of God’s Will.   To have to rely on Him for protection from the most random events; to have to rely on God to take you out of situations that are dangerous; to rely on Him for every provision that you are given; and most importantly, to be brining the message of Christ to all nations under heaven.   Can you imagine?   Knowing that you are supposed to be right where you are, doing what you are doing, right when you are doing it because you have to, and have chosen to, rely on God for every little aspect of your life.   Well friends, I am not out spreading the me...

Daily Bread

I have a dog.  He is cute , but he is still a dog.  That means that he is reliant on me.  He likes me no matter what, If I am not around him, he flips out a little and has anxiety.  If others try to claim him or take care of him when I'm not around, he growls and barks at them.  My dog's name is Spike .  He is a Yorkie.  I promised my husband if he got me a girlie dog, I would name it something masculine so he wouldn't have to go outside and yell fru fru when calling our dog.  Spike knows that I take care of him.  He knows that my husband and I are the two that take care of him the most.  The kids try to play with him and he runs to us with the toys.  The kids try to take him out and he only comes back when one of us calls him.  He knows our voice and respects our voice.  He also is needy.  Like he relies on us to take him outside to do his business and to feed him and give him water.  Spike will let us know ...

Don't throw fits!

Yesterday I blogged about how we need to be like little children.   Jesus loves the little children.   He tells us that if we are not like them, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.   I HAVE little children and they are amazing, but I have to assume that little children back in the day didn’t throw public fits or kick and scream and want their way.   Proof is actually in the Bible – they didn’t have the media helping their kids learn to curse their parents all the time.   The punishment for going against your father and mother were harsh!   See Leviticus 20:9 “If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.   He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head.” God wants us to be like the little children that he writes about in the Bible, not necessarily the kids that we see all the time around us now.   Some are very well behaved, but some just aren’t.   I can only assume that He wants us to foll...
